It sometimes amazes me that the little that we have done can mean so much for others. The food, shelter, schooling, clothes and medical relief that we have provided to these orphans kids at first seemed to be a big sacrifice.  But we have seen the impact. We see the excitement on the faces of kids when they – for the first time – go to school or are able to live in a home of their own. Many have celebrated their birthdays for the first time in their lives! Here are a few stories:
a

Rajesh is a boy of 12 years of age. Four years ago we found him sweeping railway coaches. He does not remember anything about his family. Now he has a new family at House of Hope and is an excellent student. He wants to become a Railway Engine Driver!

b Deepak is another success story. His father died working on a construction site. His mother remarried and abandoned the kids. We have also taken in Deepak’s two siblings. Now Deepak ranks first in his class. He was recently honored by the town Mayor for his top rank in Government Scholarship exams.

There are many such stories. We are so excited with what we are doing. There can be nothing more rewarding.

We welcome you to join us in changing lives. However little that you can do will change lives forever!

Burma Relief
Cyclone Nargis - 140,000 dead or missing.
At HOH Yangon, Samuel and Mercy and their 27 children had their small home destroyed. Though they faced many extreme hardships, they shared their stores of food with their neighbors. The older children lovingly cared for the babies, as they all survived in one makeshift room.
A church in Florida donated $35,000 so this very special family could have a new home. Property has been purchased and plans are ready!
Good news – Samuel and Mercy have taken in four new boys, all of whom were left destitute by the cyclone. They are adjusting to their wonderful new family. HOH Yangon is expecting to take in more children in the coming days. They are undaunted – and they inspire us all.
